Buddhist Wisdom today tells me: "If you have faith and live a proper life, then people will be drawn to you. For those who are good shine like a mountain peak while those who are bad disappear into the darkest valley."
I'm sitting here in my cozy flannel pajamas, thick socks on, with freshly washed hair that smells like grapefruit. I've just finished an assignment for work, and the basketball game is on in the background. Today I cleaned the house and Russ was as amazed as I was to realize that I hadn't vacuumed since he left.. For that matter, I didn't while he was here, either... So officially, I had a vacuum hiatus from Feb 3rd to March 22nd. That's pretty good. Now of course, there were various family members who saw my inaction (or should I say, pre-empted my inaction) and vacuumed for me... so the house was not a complete and total mess.... But today I felt the inclination.. and it was good.
The recycling box is waiting on the street for tomorrow morning. I can hardly wait to bring the blue box back to the garage, empty tomorrow night.
Daffodils in full yellow sunshiney happiness are open in two glasses on the stove.. they look good on the black, with the yellow walls behind it. They smell wonderful too.. so clean and fresh.
In the spirit of my speed goals, I should mention that today I went to the UVM track and did intervals with the children... (they are so young! And so small! ) I must admit, it was nice to look down into the lower track area and watch some baseball practice... it's like TV! And then I did some weights... looking over the UVM athletic fields and seeing the Clubhouse of the Country Club... I am feeling accomplished.
And so now, I am enjoying a Circus Boy Hefeweizen from Magic Hat... it is lovely.
I think next I will go turn on the electic blanket and go to bed soon...
I am trying to be good, so as not to get lost in the dark valleys... today it worked.
