Do we think that the mind goes its own ways, or is it under our control? Half the time I think we can create our own experience.. and the other half I think we are picking up on the vibes of the universe. It's unsettling to think that either one is true, really.
When there's that pit in the stomach, the icky feeling of impending doom... does it mean there's really a monster in the closet? Or does it mean that the circular logic is gone amok and is spiraling out of control?
Outside factors do contribute to that doom feeling... when Maslow's basic needs hierarchy things are not met.. how can the higher centers of thinking be rational and real... In fact the body is responding in a way that is signaling true impending doom! (I'm beginning to feel better already) Collapse from fatigue, or hypoglycemia or some other such terrible fate is what is telling the brain that "nothing in the world can be right if the body is in this state."
So this is why I should go to bed tout d'suite.
Au revoir.

there is a greater sense of knowing. a reason why hair stands up on the back of one's neck. all of which is made clearer with a good night's sleep.
to sweet dreams...
